not up to expectations

What do they say? "an expectation is a resentment under construction"? I hadn't visited PK for about 4 or 5 years and I remembered some pleasant experiences. Friday wasn't great... partly (entirely?) my own fault. I got a seat at the bar with a nice view of the stage and Bella asked if she could join me. I didn't want to be rude so agreed. In less than two minutes she asked me for a drink which I eventually acquiesced to. She was a little boring, but we hung out for a while. I got a Makers Mark for $13. (I forgot to mention there was no cover charge… I arrived about 5pm. Also, I parked on the street about 100 yards away so I wouldn’t have to use the valet. There’s no self-parking in PK’s lot.) PK is a big place with a high ceiling and multiple levels… The upper levels are for bigger spenders. Anyway, my drink was a generous pour and I eventually agreed to take Bella for a private dance. What a disappointment. She started in the middle of a song and then stopped at the end of it and asked if I wanted more. I declined and just paid the $30 with no tip. Surprisingly she still wanted to hang out with me, but I cleared my tab and left. Her drink plus a beer for me was less than $9 which was a surprise. I'd come back here but wouldn't be such a PL next time.
