gave it another shot

Against my better judgment I went back to Showplace for another try. I had vowed to stay away after my last visit, but a friend convinced me to give it another try. With past experience as my guide I found this visit comical. I was barely in the door and, before I could even start taking my coat off, I was practically attacked by two "dancers" (of course nobody was actually dancing). My friend had mentioned that they were now serving beers, but I never had a chance to find out. The offers and negotiations were flying (I hate negotiating for services as I feel any reduced price results in a corresponding reduction in enthusiasm), each getting better as I said I just wanted to start with a beer. I eventually relented after getting a promise for no shortcuts on time. Well the extras i recieved were as rushed and ridiculous as ever - I got the two short songs worth of time, but she took so much time getting ready and talking that we were practicalky finished before we started. Even though I left completely frustrated, I started laughing because I should know better. I will never rerturn, this time I really mean it.
