1st time - might try again

Went here for the first time last week, only because Bottoms Up was already closed at like 10 PM, which happens sometimes if they are slow. Well I'm always a little cautious in Irvington at night, especially going to a club I'm not familiar with. The neighborhood is kind of sketchy so I drove around the block a couple times before parking directly across the street. The club itself isn't bad. On the smaller side, typical for Irvington area. The bouncer did a thorough pat down on my way in. A note regarding security, he gave a good pat down to each and every person, even a group of like 5 guys came in and they had to stand in line as he called one in at a time, so that was good. In fact, when I went out for a smoke, I got checked again on the way in, so he was serious about security. An odd thing was that to use the restroom you have to get the key from the bartender. Seemed strange with the security at the door. Hard to imagine any bums from the street come in just to take a piss, but I guess they have a reason for doing that. No big deal. Anyway, the bathroom was clean.

There were about 10 customers, a few guys by themselves like me, and a group of friends that were both male and female. They had 4 dancers working, all AA. Two were not my type - fat with humongous milk cans and asses spilling out of clothing they had no business wearing. One light skin black girl was relatively attractive and in good shape. She also danced pretty well. Finally there was one dark skin black girl - very pretty face, thin and fit, and who worked the pole like nothing I've seen lately, especially in the hood. I wanted to offer her a drink but she already had one, finished it, and another came right up, so I guess someone else bought it in advance. They were also tossing crumpled up dollar bills up onto the stage and she collected about 20 or so I'd say. Wanting to kind of separate myself from the other customers, I didn't throw anything on the stage but when she came around I quietly passed her a 10 spot. She went back to the stage and did another fairly long set. Tipped her another 10 and she came and sat down with me.

I think she said her name was Mahogany, but not sure. Anyway, she was beautiful and friendly and we spent a half hour or so just making small talk. I tipped her every now and then. The strange thing was that I felt like I was sending all the signs that if she took me for a lap dance there would be money in it for her, and there would have been. I'm a sucker for a girl like that for sure - but she never offered. On a first time visit I always like to just go with the flow, so I didn't bring it up either, was just enjoying her company. Eventually she thanked me and returned to the stage. I watched her dance a few more songs and then hit the road.
