This review will encompass both a recent Friday and Saturday night at Charlie’s Angels. I arrived at 23:30 on Friday night and 23:00 on Saturday night. There is no cover charge to get in. Cans of Sincweiser were $3. Cans of soda were $3. As you enter, there is a long bar along the wall straight ahead. To the right is a single pool table, a dart machine, a punching bag game, and three video slot machines. To the left are high tops and tables along with the stage. The boxed stage is about a foot off the ground with a large mirror being on the wall behind it. There are three booths for private dances in the far left corner of the club. They are simple benches with a curtain blocking the opening. Music is played off of a laptop. There were nine dancers working on Friday night and eight dancers working on Saturday night.

Mileage is excellent at the stage. For a buck or two, the dancers will hop over the tip rail and start grinding in your lap for twenty seconds. Private dances are two way touching. I was not touching a dancer enough during a lap dance, so she grabbed my hands and guided them to her breasts. It seems dancers can charge what they want for private dances. Most dancers seem to charge $20 per song for topless dances, but I was quoted $30 per song for nude dances by an ivory and $40 per song for nude dances by an ebony. I paid $20 per song to one dancer for topless lap dances, while another dancer I sampled gave me two topless lap dances for $20 total. I guess prices are negotiable. The house seems to charge a flat fee for the ladies to work a shift and does not take a cut of private dances.
There used to be five strip clubs in Gulfport, Illinois before the Mississippi River flooded the town back in 2008. Two strip clubs rebuilt after the flood: Bada Bing and Charlie’s Angels. One strip club became a nightclub: Sam’s. Bada Bing got shut down because private dances got “too intimate”, and Sam’s recently closed down for unknown reasons. That leaves Charlie’s Angels as the only open late night entertainment in Gulfport, Illinois. The closing time in Gulfport is 06:00 on weekends, while it is 02:00 across the river in Burlington. Thus, Charlie’s Angels starts to get crowded around 01:30-02:00 on Friday and Saturday nights. People who want to keep drinking just cross the Mississippi River and go to Charlie’s Angels. The clientele definitely got more ghetto after 02:00. One black guy was walking around the club saying, “I’ll fight. I’ll shoot.” over and over. There have been a couple shootings here in the last few years.
If you are stuck in Burlington, Iowa, Charlie’s Angels is worth checking out. The quality of dancers is not to the level of larger cities, but Barbie is worth crossing the Great River Bridge to see.
