Budget Alternative to BELAX
Clubbing in metro LA can be a roll of the dice. While Hollywood dreams draw a neverending supply of some of the world's most attractive young women, outside the near-legendary City of Industry clubs it can be tough to find a good balance of qualiy and value.
With some time to kill before a flight out of LAX, I decided to deviate from my usual stopover at the pleasant but pricy Bare Elegance to see what Jet Strip had to offer by comparison. Parking is free, which is a plus anywhere in metro LA. Cover was $6, though I believe it may go up nights/weekends.
Entering the club it's obvious from the layout that the building was converted - rather awkwardly - from a restaurant or similar function. As you enter the main stage is straight ahead running most of the length of the room, stopping just short of the bar where the ceiling height drops dramtically. Seating is mainly loose tables & chairs around the perimeter of the stage with a couple of booths against the wall by the entrance and a larger open area on the far side of the room which probably provides the best overall vantage point to watch the festivities.
