Not really impressed

I’m heading south for some spring training baseball and stopped here for a break from the driving. I’d been here twice before and had one good time and one “eh” time. I’m starting to think the place more “eh” than good.

This time I arrived at about 3 pm and to my mild surprise for a Friday afternoon there were almost as many women present as men. This was in stark contrast to my first visit several years ago when the place was packed with a high male to female ratio. There was no cover at this time and my Coke cost a dollar with free refills. I was hungry and ordered a quesadilla, which was quite adequate.

The women were mostly 6-7’s with no stunners to be found. Several approached almost immediately upon sitting down and while eating, much to my annoyance. Their approach was uniformly, “Hi, I’m so-and-so, wanna dance?” I finally went for a dance with a blond Cubana, the best looker in the place that afternoon, for $30 as I recall. The dance was ok and was followed by an offer of a better dance for $130, which I declined. A few minutes later another dancer made an offer as well, which turned out to be rather disappointing, certainly not meeting expectations.
