I didn't expect a lot from Strokers, but I was still disappointed. It was easy to get to, at least, and it shares a strip mall with other businesses that were largely closed so that parking was easy and free. Cover charge was $10. My bottle of water was $5.

The inside was fairly large, though the low ceiling made it feel more cramped than it was. There were a couple of stages, a bunch of tables (most high tops), and a handful of pool tables, some occupied by dancers shooting pool. The music was deafening. All clubs are loud, but this was truly egregious. It was too loud even when suppressed by the closed door of the bathroom. And there weren't many people there, so I can't blame it on some sort of "party" vibe. It was just unpleasant. Add in some hookah smoke and I got a headache quickly. I know I'm old and have never been cool enough to get loud music, but holy crap I just don't get this.

The dancers were all black. Several were attractive. Most were pretty average, varying a bit in how thick they were. A few were friendly, though it was impossible to talk at all. Shouting while leaning in next to them still resulted in a lot of "What?" in both directions. Table dances were $10. These were not quite air dances. They'd back up against you while you stood next to or leaned on the tall chair and sort of twerk a bit. Fondling the hips and ass was allowed by the dancers I had, though it didn't seem to be the thing to do generally. Most of the people I saw getting dances did so by paying the dancer to stand in front of them and twerk or do the leg-twist ass clap thing while they sat there slouched, looking bored and like they didn't even know the dancer was there. It was a little weird.
