Saturday Night Fever

OK. So I reviewed this place a few weeks back and said I was surprised and wish I had found this place long ago. To a certain extent, that is still true. So I was in Detroit area for a few days and decided my prior visits on weekdays were so good, I wanted to see how good this place was on a weekend. Big mistake, huge.

So deciding to bypass the sure thing clubs in Detroit I am more familiar with, I decided to make the 45 minute drive down to this club on the north side of Toledo (first exit into Ohio if heading south on I75). The hours in place are weird, it don't open until 8pm. So I was there right at 8pm. Turns out, the dancers had a bad case of Saturday night fever. No cover thankfully. The bartender told me they open at 8pm, but the dancers don't have to start dancing until 9pm. She told me no one was there, but one would be there shortly and others should be there by 9pm. So I watched the end of a ball game while I finished my drink. Talked with the bartender and she said the dancers aren't employees so to speak and they set there own schedules. She doesn't know who is coming in until they show up most nights. So there is no published schedule the dancers have to adhere too. She went on to say that it was an unusually good week for them on the prior nights and most of the ladies had Saturday night fever and were not coming in. She was texting several trying to get some or figure out who was coming in. Further conversation revealed that Saturday is typically the worst night at the club as the regulars know that most of the ladies either go out themselves on Saturday or are home tending to kids/family.

Finally around 8:30, a 40ish AA entertainer appeared. Great personality and nice convo for what it is worth. Decided to take her back for a couple. She was handsy and friendly, but when she danced up close, there was a bad odor. I honestly can't say if it was her or just lack of washing the bottoms (more on this in a bit). So I went back out to the bar and decided to wait and watch the end of another game. 9:15 and no one else yet, so I decided to leave. As I was leaving, an attractive dancer was arriving, so I held the door for her and turned around to follow her back in. Bartender gave me a free drink for staying.
