From Library to Mosh Pit
Follies remains a “one of a kind” strip club experience, and its reputation among PLs is well-deserved. This visit was my fourth in the past two years, and thanks to some extra “free time” in my schedule, my typical “90 minute vacation” extended to three hours this time. By the time I left, Follies was a completely different place than the one I entered around noon, reinforcing my own personal rule for the club: get there early.
Thursday noon, and the valet has already set up shop. $10 to park, but no cover to enter; ID check and pat-down by the cute receptionist. The interior is so dark it took a bit to adjust from the bright Atlanta sunshine. Fortunately for me, I (literally) bumped into a cute little dancer, who “let her fingers do the walking” as I got my bearings. I thanked her for her kindness and headed for one of the high-tops along the back wall, the premiere location for PLs in search of some front room romance. At this point, the stages are empty, the music is turned down, and the wait staff is in prep mode. By the time I had a drink in my hand, dancers began to circulate and the games were ready to begin.
Follies continues to deliver a wide variety of hot women. There appeared to be a lower percentage of Latinas than last fall, but still something for everyone. “Playful” would best characterize the attitude of most dancers, whose approach is frank and full-contact. With dances at $10 each, it’s a low-risk, high-reward situation. Saying “yes” to a girl is just ten bucks, and if she’s not what you wanted, you move on to the next audition. In a stroke of good fortune, I managed to avoid the more mercenary Cubanas and their VIP promises. There’s plenty of mischief in the main room, and nobody seems to care as long as you’re having fun.
