My 2nd trip to E.I... Not bad for an "afternoon delight..." ;-)

Ok - so after my first trip to and review of E.I. in Jan. '19, I had the unexpected situation of having a number of work meetings in DC which ended quite a bit earlier than anticipated. This being about 4-5pm on a Monday late afternoon, I decided - WTF, YOLO, etc., - why not stop by there, see how it is in the daylight, and how it differs from the more evening/Sunday night crowd which I experienced last time.

You can check out my prior review from Jan. for further details about the facility at etc., so I won't re-hash those here. I will re-iterate that safety and the neighborhood, as well as the "no-phones-allowed" policy, remain really the only two main down sides to E.I. The potential safety issue once again asserted itself about 1-2 minutes after I was parking my rental car in the church lot across the street. While I was securing my cell phone as best that I could, I had noticed in my rear view mirror that there was a single guy sitting in an old, beat up Jeep Cherokee, a bit further back in the lot than the rest of the vehicles. While finishing up in my car, I saw him get up and start walking to the back of my vehicle through the rear view mirror. He ended up knocking on my driver's side window, was fairly polite, made a pitch about how he was a little short of money and that his wife was hassling him that they were broken down "right next to the strip club.." etc. etc. and was just looking for a few dollars to help him and his wife get along on their way. I gave him a $20, said God Bless You/Good Luck, and he thanked me and walked back to his vehicle. Given that my vehicle and its contents were intact about 2-3 hours later when I left, I considered it (a) the "cost of doing business" - such as in lieu of a parking fee, and (b) that I was also lucky. Keep in mind that this was still well in daylight when this occurred, too - perhaps that was for the best...

That incident now behind me, I walked across the street and noticed this time around (in the daylight) that there's actually a Bail Bonds office right next to E.I., to the right hand side. Part of the reason it caught my eye is that it's painted a garish yellow color, and it was daylight this time around. The other reason is that I saw 2-3 pretty attractive young ladies smoking outside of said bail bonds building on my way in. I assumed they were smoking and socializing prior to coming in to work at E.I.; that was later confirmed.
