It was a slow Monday evening

Was on business travel and found this place because it was close by and seemed like a nice local club. Three bucks at the door and beers were three bucks too. I arrived around 8:30; there were two dancers. Both were friendly and talkative. Dances were good and up close, but it is just a topless place. The girls danced two songs per set but they stayed around for another song or two if someone was tipping. Dollar tips instead of two-dollar tips, “way back pricing” just like Walmart.

It was a slow night at this local club. Maybe 10 patrons, all appeared to be local, except for me of course. There was a pool table and considerable interest in pool. The waitress was fun and proficient, she was easy to talk with. All the other patrons sat at the bar.

One dancer was talking with guys at the bar and one asked if she could sit with me, so of course I said yes. Her name was Jess I think. So we sat and talked about the common things dancers and strangers like to talk about. She was fun and easygoing and we got along well. But she smoked constantly, just one cig after another. Everyone in the club smoked but me I think.
