Best of 3 Manhattan clubs I went to

I recently spent the weekend in NYC, and visited this club because it is advertised aggressively where we were staying in Times Square (Ads on and in taxis, people handing out flyers everywhere, etc.). We went to a couple of others (New York Dolls and Satin), but wound up coming back to this one because I thought it was a decent value for Manhattan and had a good atmosphere. My buddy was a little annoyed that they “nickel and dime” you... There actually isn’t a cover before 5 and it was $10 after 5, whereas the other 2 clubs in the area both had a $10 cover during the day, and $20 at night. However, there is a mandatory coat check ($2-3 tip), and there is a bathroom attendant who makes a big show about handing you a paper towel and chit chats with you (I gave him a $2 tip each time I went in). Domestic beer was $8, which is a bit steep even for NYC.

Anyway, more on the club itself- there is a large bar as you walk in, and the dance area is in a room right off the bar that you can’t really see into. There are actually 2 very small “stages” with a pole just big enough for one dancer to just kind of hang out on, I guess as entertainment until you go into the main area. We skipped the bar and were ushered in to a small table right next to the stage. The whole club is small, and the stage itself has 2 girls at a time, each on a pole. They also just sort of hang out and get topless.

One downside is that there is no privacy at all for regular lap dances- they are done in the same room as the stage. The good part is that all the girls were decent to gorgeous, and the dances are only $20. At first, they kept pushing VIP rooms and bottle service with huge price tags (I think $600-$1200). After we had gotten a couple of dances from a couple of different girls, they seemed to ease up on the upsell and we wound up getting dances from 5-6 girls each. Personally, this was perfect for me- I’m not interested in “extras” or spending too much time with any one girl- I like to get dances from as many different ones as possible. My budget is usually under $200, and I was able to have a good time for about 2 hours without feeling unwelcome.
