Surprisingly Satisfied

So I finally went to the new and “improved” Skybox and I was expecting to be completely disappointed but I was surprisingly entertained. First off, it was all to be expected young urban over the top...it was so weird what we once would pay nothing for to get super cheap beers and dances they now charged guys at the door at one point $60 entry and people were everywhere but you strip the hoopla away and it’s the same product...just being sold to a younger crowd. I think this is the first time in history where a younger generation completely took exactly what an older generation was doing

As I stood in the line that technically should have been just a walk in and pay $10 (but of course the biz move is to make you wait then the product seems worth the $60) there was one dude who looked like he wanted to fight the security for making him wait so long. But my Grinch like attitude changed slightly as I have to remember...as a Chicagoan I have partied too...we had House music and in my mid 20’s we had the dress nice clubs...so they want to party too...can’t knock them or the business people who know how to sell it...

PLUS...those twerk dances while your standing up weren’t that bad...and I saw a couple girls I use to get regular dances from at another club...got a dance in the back with her...didn’t try too many of my normal stuff as security was abundant but it was still a decent dance...I liked this spot as I had tried Club O right before and they didn’t have half that crowd and seemed as though they should have just stayed regular Club O...I think the dancers may turn on the party club though because they aren’t able to make money...it was too crowded and the crowd just stood and danced...no one was throwing money in the air...but still...I may go back one day soon to see if I could like those type of clubs and go more often
