Risque's up and down, but not in a good way
I usually enjoy my visits to CR Bristol. For a change, I went during happy hour when Coors Light and Bud bottles cost $2.50. There was no cover and not a lot of customers when I arrived around 5:30. The beautiful blonde bar tender was pleasant and got my beer very quickly. I expected a higher caliber of entertainers based on other recent visits in the afternoon, but that was not to be. Gabriella approached me almost immediately after my arrival, but then told me that she was leaving in ten minutes. She was a high level candidate for couch dances, but I wanted to settle in a bit and see who else was available. Several nice looking women danced, but beside the tip parade inside the bar, I was not approached by any of them. The mood changed shortly after 6 - apparently, that's shift change time. Half the time there were zero dancers on stage, the other half was one dancer. The problem is that the stage is very long and if she's at one end and you're at the other, it's very hard to see. Plus, there are supporting poles and the spiral staircase which block the view of patrons. I hung around for about two hours. During that time, the very beautiful Cynthia approached me bar side and requested tips for both her top and bottom. There was no warmth or playfulness. Apparently, she expects to be tipped just because she's pretty. She walked away. She spent considerable time sitting at the bar alone and then disappeared for a good while. Later, when she came back, she approached me again. This time, she offered to break a $20 bill so I would have $1s to tip with. I counted the singles, and she remarked that she had never had someone not trust her and count the change she gave them. I explained that I've been the victim of strip club ripoff artists who short changed me in the past. With that, she walked away. Nova, a new arrival, had a very bubbly personality and we hit it off. I asked her to give me a dance, which she did with great enthusiasm. Mileage there wasn't, and my hands were moved from the bikini bottom area. Once she gets the lay of the land, and recognizes how the game is played at CR Bristol, I believe she'll have a great, profitable future, and customers will gain the benefit of her charm and good looks. It really got slow and there was a palpable lack of good vibes from the dancers or the few (3-4) visible customers by the time I left around 8. Fingers are crossed for a better experience in the future.
