First Time in Providence

I had the pleasure of visiting Boston recently. I was warned by both this forum, and a couple of locals I met at the Union Oyster Bar (great lobster roll), that you have to leave Boston and head down to Providence. This review will combine my two day-time trips to Desire Club, of Providence.

I cruised in right at about 12:15 on both weekend days. I found out they actually serve a free lunch from 12-3, but I don't know much more about that because I didn't take them up on that. I came pre-fed. One other similar novelty is that they sell cards for $20 that then have $25 of value toward drinks. I bought a shit ton of those, as I broke all my normal liquor rules and drank across the spirits spectrum, anything from Glenfidich neat, to Gin & Tonic, to Jameson Ginger, even some sips of the girls disgusting fruity drinks, like tequila with all manner of juices added to it. Drink prices were pretty standard, in the $9-$12 or so range, give or take.

The layout was nothing to write home about. After you enter and go down a longish hall (passing an elevator that I guess takes you to the more elite members only club, Lust), you enter the actual club. If you walk to your left you will see the VIP... booths I'll call them. I wouldn't call them rooms like the ones I'm accustomed to in other places. If you continue on you get to the restroom, where I noticed used condoms in not one, but in both urinals. Some might find that repulsive, but my power of deduction led me to believe that good times were headed my way.
