On Thursday Jan. 3 a little after 8 p.m., I went to Crystal City Restaurant Gentlemen’s Club as the sign outside reads now. It had been a while since I had been here. They added “Gentlemen’s Club” to the sign since my last visit. I’m sure in the past they probably had some unsuspecting tourists come in not realizing what they were walking into :)

Parking in the area near the club is a challenge. There are about 6 spaces in the strip where the club is. As an aside, a few days prior to my visit someone had apparently mistaken the gas for the brake and drove through the front of the 7-11 next door. Others on this site have suggested parking at the BB&T bank across the street. I’m leery of being towed so I bypassed that. Thankfully someone was pulling out of one of the metered spaces on S. Eads St. near the club. Parking meter enforcement ends at 8, so on this night I didn’t have to feed the meter. I guess other options for parking would be one of the garages across Route 1 near the hotels and office buildings or going farther up S. 23rd St. in the block beyond the club.

CCRGC has 2 stages. One is in the main seating area. One is in a completely glass-enclosed smoking area toward the front of the place. I grabbed a seat at the L-shaped bar in the rear of the main seating area. The drawback to sitting here is that you can’t see the stage unless you are in one of the 3 seats on the shorter side of the bar. Those seats were taken already.
