Upscale, meh mileage, may visit again after they move
I used to only go to FlashDancer's on 53rd which, of course, moved. Decided to try out Sapphire in part because one of my favorite's has now switched clubs to working there.
Cover is a little more expensive at $30 (though I heard during the week it is only $20), mandatory coat check. On certain 3rd party sites the club ostensibly provided a code for free entry but when I mentioned it they said it wasn't accepted (?) ok whatever, $30 is not going to break the bank.
There's definitely more of a night club vibe vs the old Flash, which I'm actually not a big fan of as there's less of a sense of privacy/intimacy. I prefer higher mileage clubs, and this was definitely the biggest issue here. Unlike the old FD which permitted two way touching, when I asked the first girl I got a LD with (as it was my first time here) re: the house rules and she informed me that I should keep my hands to my sides. Fair enough, though don't expect me to get multiple songs... Figuring possibly it is a YMMV situation, or maybe one of those cases where rules become more fluid as you get more dances, I got a few LDs with a second blonde and was basically reminded me again of the boundaries.
