Repeat visit didn’t match the first

Last time I had an enjoyable quick visit and thus I figured I’d give this place another shot. But looking back, the best part of the first visit was one highly attractive and aggressive dancer that had a way with making a connection with people that seemed genuine. She alone made that experience memorable. Predictably, this time there was no dancer of this caliber and thus the experience was pretty boring at best and even annoying at times.

This is a relatively small club but had a decent amount of dancers...seemingly around 15 total but typically less than 10 were in the stage rotation. There was some diversity but mostly latinas on this night. Not surprisingly, the dancers I would have most wanted to see on stage, were the ones that didn’t need to be in the rotation and you hardly saw them emerge to work the room (presumably had plenty of interest from regulars that kept them busy). The stage performances were mostly ho hum but I tried to tip regularly while I kept waiting to find a dancer that reminded me of the gem I encountered last time.

Normally, I wouldn’t mind patiently waiting and relaxing for awhile if the atmosphere would allow this. But it didn’t. I tried sitting in different spots but no matter where I was (other than by the stage), I couldn’t chill for even two minutes without multiple dancers approaching (and then two seconds later, the cocktail waitress was there hustling as well). I totally understand the game and normally would welcome some of this kind of traffic. My biggest issue was that they couldn’t take a hint... no matter what I did, I kept getting repeat visits from the same dancers that I had already discouraged. Maybe I was just too nice but I haven’t had this happen to this extreme before. Finally I gave in to a dancer that was especially persistent, even though I was not interested at all, and got a couple of dances with her. Obviously this was a mistake and as soon as I realized that, it signaled to me that it was time to bail before wasting any more time and money.
