I had not been back to...

I had not been back to this place since it was Caligula's, so I didn't know what to expect when meeting some friends there. Well, it is now brighter, cleaned up, with a lot more light, uniformly good looking women and pleasant wait staff, lots of light, and good drinks, and lots of lighting. Did I mention that it was bright? Not as bright as the Colorado has been lately, but bright. The club is an open layout, with a stage right in the middle, and the bar to your left as you walk in the door. The whole club in laid out in a U shape around that stage. And it is very bright. VIP looked a lot darker, but I did not try that out this time. The women are largely anglo, good looking, pleasant, and pretty -- easy to see with all of that light. The dances are fine, even by Houston standards, and the booths afford a little privacy. I got a few dances from two young blondes. Nice dances, some groping, nothing major. Very pretty women.

So, pretty women, good drinks, clean interior, friendly staff (actually, very professional, efficient waitstaff -- they really were on the ball). You can, however, read War and Peace in the booth. Nice place to take clients, I think. I was impressed by the improvements.

I did not eat there but the two people I was with said that the food was just fine and very fresh. They are picky, so I would take that as an endorsement. I think that the corporate owners of this place are trying to make a good impression, and they seem to be doing everything right.
