Nothing Outstanding

Visited this club recently during a stay in Brooklyn. The layout of the club is pretty odd — kind of a shotgun-style, narrow club, only made narrower by the fact that the dance area runs behind the bar. So there is a narrow walkway, a row of barstools, the bar itself, and then dancers behind. Did not make for the most intimate evening, but dancers could and did walk around and chit chat occasionally.

Bartenders and dancers were kind of playful and sassy, which I enjoyed. However, couldn’t seem to find a gal my type and the teasing was pretty much at a minimum. Eventually decided to take a plunge on a dance. Went back for 2-3 dances with a cute spinner brunette. Mileage was low, and I wasn’t inspired to press for more and I didn’t get an inviting vibe. Sometimes it’s all up to the gal, but this doesn’t feel like that type of place.

In short: tiny club, pretty but hardly amazing girls, low mileage. Kind of a playful atmosphere though, so I would recommend as a place to stop for a drink or two with interesting scenery. Would not recommend going out of your way to visit, and definitely manage the expectations on friendly dances.
