Extended Visit

Club Alex’s used to be my favorite club (in my local area) until 7 or 8 years ago. That all changed when the authorities re-enforced Club Alex’s requirement to only hire dancers (with the proper documentation) that allowed them the right to work (legally) in MA. That legal matter forced the exodus of about 22 Brazilian dancers in 2011 and cut the quality of this clubs attractive performers in half. With the exodus of top flight talent came a significant reduction in the club’s customer base and the struggle to recover (in fits and starts) continues to this day. There are not enough paying customers at the club these days to keep a rock solid lineup paid well enough to remain with the club for any sustained length of time, but for a select few current dancers with regulars.

I made a recent visit to Alex’s (on the Friday before Christmas) to check out the current lineup. I was pleasantly entertained by Riley and Beauty during my afternoon visit. Since I came in before 5 pm there was no cover charge to enter. My rum and cokes cost me $8.50 each + tip. Lap Dances prices remain $20 each (days) and the Private room remains $110 for 10 minutes (days).

As I was getting ready to leave, a couple of acquaintances came into the club and my evening plans changed. My acquaintances had come into Club Alex’s early with a plan to see the evenings feature (Annie Lane) and my evening was extended. While not a real fan of Features per se, I have enjoyed the performances of Tyler Faith among a few others in the past. Annie Lane is a petite performer (originally from the Boston area) and she danced at RI Dollhouse for a time. Annie Lane’s performance was energetic, athletic, and quite entertaining. I am unaware if there is a modified price structure at Alex’s in the evenings, as on my extended evening visit everything was covered by a deep pocketed friend. I was allowed to tip the feature and evening entertainers with my own money :)
