A Dream, then a Jiffy Lube

Saturday brought me a rare treat. I frequently prowl Houston’s lurid underside in search of experiences I will have to lie about to my wife & kids, but it’s very rare for me to venture into strip clubs outside of greater Houston. I travel a lot on business but my days on business trips are very intense and I usually stay in my hotel room at night to work and prepare for the next day. There is no time for mongering.

I’ve been traveling for pleasure of late but am accompanied by my wife & our kids. While in Phoenix I said I wanted to visit an old friend one evening. So the warden gave me an evening pass.

I couldn’t visit my old friend because he died a few years ago. I had failed to mention that to my wife. She’d never met him anyway.
