This place is my favorite in San Francisco. It is a little lighter than the "hardcore" clubs. There is one long stage that looks like a runway that supermodels would use. Normally you can get right next to the stage. I guess due to the bad economy quite a few people like to seat way back - so that they don't have to tip. Many girls will get of off the stage and give you a mini-lap dance, or at least a decent feel for your dollar. Some are a little stuck up and will stay on the stage, so that you can only look. The worst part is that the stage shows are a little slow. First of all, as I already said, there is only one stage. Second, not all girls are hot. Most are, but there are some that actually so bad looking that I get up and move a couple of rows back - so that I don't have to tip. During the next 10-15 minutes while that girl is on stage, there is not much to do other than private dances. Almost makes you wonder if they keep those girls on purpose. And there are somewhat longish breaks between the songs and sets, when there isn't anybody on stage at all.

So why 8 out of 10 rating? Well, that would be the lap dances. Be careful - not the *private* dances, but the lap dances. Private dances are in a booth, and will run you $60-100 (or more?) for a set of three or so. It depends a lot on the girl and your negotiating skills. From what I am hearing, what you will give for a private dance will vary and again - depend a lot on the girl. I tried it once. It was a hot hispanic girl. She quoted $80 for 4 songs. But - the only thing she did is let me do self service while she was somewhat away from me. She also kept rushing me, asking me isn't she hot enough for me to be done already, etc. So - I didn't enjoy that that much. I'd rather have a decent lap dance when self service. After that I've done lap dances only - and love that. First of all, they are pretty cheap. Only $20/dance. Last year (2003) I had a girl do 2-for-1 for me, i.e. two songs for $20. Awesome deal, but I think it was more an exception than the rule. For $20, you get a lap dance in a largish although semi-private room with a couch around each wall. The girl keeps her close on (top and bottom), but you can touch as much as you want, and she will rub all over you (at least most do). I am normally fully satisfied after a song or two. I think for $30 you get a topless dance and for $40 fully nude, but $20 gets me what I need, so I never tried either of the other ones.

The standard technique applies when picking a girl for the lap dance. Sit by the stage, tip decent, see how much the girl will do for you for a dollar. If she gets off the stage, hops on top of you, and gives you a mini lap-dance, then she probably will be good lap dancer. If she stays on stage and behaves like she is a beauty queen and a goddess, skip her. You don't wanna pay $20 just to look with almost no contact.
