First Time At Rainbow For Ages

I have not been to The Rainbow for maybe two or three years. Thought I would give it a try on the last Friday before Xmas.

Since I last visited it has been closed (maybe more than once) for refurbishment. The only notable difference is the toilets which are now downstairs instead of the back of the room on the main floor. They (the toilets) were probably also much improved when they were first done, but they are already looking a bit grim, with for example no seats on the toilets in the cubicles.

Elsewhere everything is much the same. My first moment of horror came when I was charged £7.00 for a pint of orange juice and lemonade (I won't be drinking that in there again!) I arrived at about 5.30 having just come from a packed Nags Head to find a deadish Rainbow. There were enough punters to not be the only target for pesty girls wanting private dances, (which can be the case in the afternoon at The Rainbow).
