To get to Tijuana, I left Las Vegas Monday morning and drove about 7 hours down to San Ysidro stopping at a few places on the way for food and gas and just to stretch my legs. It was dark when I arrived at the border and there was a lot of people around. There was a bunch of traffic going up the small cul-de-sac leading to the parking lot behind Jack-In-The-Box and some dude got stuck on the train tracks. When I finally got into the area, I realized that cars were just dropping people off there and all the traffic was due to a construction crew. Once I got past the tracks and the light behind me turned green, the cars going the other way were able to leave which allowed the cars in the cul-de-sac to move, which allowed me to get into the ramp that led to the parking lot. Rates were $8 every 8 hours and I had to pay $8 up front (and the rest when I leave). I parked pretty close to the front gate compared to the last time I came to Tijuana where I had to park all the way in the back.
