Tried and true alternative to Manhattan clubs
I hadn't been back to G2000 in a few years, so when I had business in NY, I checked it out again. The layout is still the same - one large long stage for 3-4 dancers, with 2-3 poles for tricks. The bar wraps around the stage, that sets up the dollar parade. It's a pretty big club, so there is plenty of room all the time. A guy can sit at the door and feed the dollar parade, or stand/sit back away from the bar, and just watch the show.
Girls are now mostly either Latin or eastern european (russian), there were 2-3 black girls, and they got some dancers. After each group of girls' set, they all come down for a dollar parade. Then most of them go around to talk to guys they know or meet. The girls aren't too pushy - some of the russians who don't speak much English just start with "wanna dance?" but many of the other girls will chat up a good convo.
I met a girl or two I could have a decent conversation with, and when we talked we connected, so I took each girl for a dance. There was nice two-way contact., even though they say you can't touch the girls out in the open. I was tempted to go to the half hour room, but passed - the priced some time ago, an i didn't want to drop $200 so quickly.
