Surprisingly Solicitous Staff
I was recently in Las Vegas for an extended stay and decided to try some new clubs. I picked Hustler somewhat randomly one Tuesday evening on the spur of the moment. I ended up visiting a couple of other times over a couple of weeks (a Monday and a Wednesday). The non-dancer staff was among the most attentive I've ever encountered. One of the hosts came by my table after I'd been there a while and asked if I needed anything, offered to bring me dancers to my taste, and gave me his card to call about coming back. He also offered me a free ride back to my hotel. My server introduced herself by name, asked mine, and on my second visit also gave me a card for my return. The cards got me in on my return visit without any cover at all, and were also good for a free drink.
I puzzled a little about the source of of all this attention. I spent a little money there my first trip, with a VIP dance, but I wasn't buying rooms or bottle service. I don't know if my treatment was a fluke, but it repeated on each of my visits. Maybe the club is trying to encourage repeat business and getting their staff to buy in on that by offering some sort of commission if you return with their card. Maybe they were just trying to make the most of relatively slow nights. In any case, everyone was really nice and while alone it wouldn't have made me return I confess it did encourage me to do so.
On my first visit, the cover charge was $20 (really $10 plus another $10 for a one-drink minimum). Drinks were Vegas-club pricey - a ridiculous $10 for a water or Coke and $20 or more for anything with alcohol. On at least one day they had a happy hour until 8pm where drinks were half price, and thus more reasonable. On Monday they had the football game on their TVs and free chips and salsa (and in theory some sort of chicken tenders though none available to eat when I was there).
