Old Habits

Everytime I visit, I say the same thing, never again. However, the location is just convenient, and seems every once in a while, have to make a visit, old habits hard to break. For all the same reasons I walk out shaking my head never again; limited number of dancers on day shift, no specials, small venue, no great privacy, push and push the drinks, same old story. Now, there are certain reliable dancers, and in the "good old days", the reliable, dependable dancers made this place exceptional. Now, most have gone, ones still around definitely older, and for the life of me cant understand why they have such a difficult time getting newer, strong, talent. This trip, walked in, not one customer and not one dander on the floor. So I sat, paid for my drink, and waited. The one and only dancer that came out was at least a dancer I know very well, but the entire time I was there, I was the only customer, and she was the only dancer. We caught up, went for our dances, did at least 5 or 6 , came back out and sat down, talked a while longer, and left. I chatted with the doorman who I have also known for what seems like a decade, he confided in me it tends to be very slow these days, during the day. Not sure how this place stays in business. In years past, there would be typically 5 or more girls mid afternoon, sometimes less, but usually more, and at least a few customers. The regulars would be there, of which I was certainly one, and we knew the dancers, inside and outside the club, was truly a memorable place. Now? Like I said, old habits I guess.
