The discount also extends to Hotel Rizo de Oro, the sister hotel. This place is a nonstop party place with sports and relatively cheap drinks if you don't buy for the dancers. Food is ok, some items are better than others. Ciabatta breakfast for $75 peso is a bargain. Fills you up good. $22 a night with VIP card for a Master Suite with a Jacuzzi and $15 for a night for a double room. Gotta book early, because they sell out due to these specials. You can save even more money if you put the hotel on a credit card with no foreign transaction fees. You will get the best currency rate and even if they try to steal your credit card info, you are protected. When you want to go home, the shuttle takes you to whichever border crossing you want. Since the migrant caravan has moved away from the border, it is safe again to an extent. Just be aware of your surroundings and don't flaunt your money around and you'll be fine. Try not to walk alone at night unless it is within the vicinity or where there is a lot of people.
