These girls are horrible at working the floor.
I don't know what it is with this place, but across probably a dozen-plus visits over the past few months I have only enjoyed myself maybe twice, and here's why:
When I go to a strip club, I'm there for the girls/dancers. I don't drink, so everything about the bar experience is irrelevant to me. At this joint, many of the dancers are flat out terrible at their jobs. It's not complicated: you tip a girl on stage and she should be smart enough to understand the implication: I like you, I tip you, I want a dance from you. That's how it works in, like, literally every other strip club. But at Curves, the girls must not like money. Or they're morons. Maybe both. I've verbally stated, clear as day, to "come see me at the end of your set for some private dances," they say "Okay!" and never make their way over. What kind of message does that send? Maybe they have a thing against men of color. Maybe they don't like it when customers treat them with respect? No idea.
I roll in there with 200 or 300 bucks and walk out with just about all of it. Except for those two times that I mentioned above because I, apparently, encountered the sole non-brain-dead stripper during those two visits. It's really bizarre to want to give someone money for a fairly simple service and have them be totally uninterested. You'll see girls hanging out along the edge of the club, not working the floor, or hanging out with people who aren't spending money on them. So, it's a bit of a dice roll, I guess. Better to get your fix elsewhere, and that's a shame because the other clubs in Tucson seem pretty dead and lousy lately. Curves is lively, I'll give it that much. But, ultimately:
