A club trying for a rebound
I have been going to the Colorado club on and off for over 20 years. In its heyday (late 90's to early 2000's) it was one of the most popular clubs in Houston with a collection of some of the most gorgeous dancers. However, for a long period of time this club has been in the decline mostly because of overly greedy policies by the club owners. However, a couple of recent visits shows that this club is trying to modify its policies and things have gotten better.
I visited on two days, a Thursday and a Saturday evening. I got in early enough (about 7) on Thursday to get in with a $10 cover. On Saturday, I got there about 9 and paid a $15 cover. There is a metal detector up front. There is plenty of free parking. It is a very safe area and there is a security guard stationed by the parking lot so it should be definitely be safe for your car.
For those unfamiliar with the building, it is still roughly the same layout as it always has been. There is one big main room with a large central stage. The areas to the sides of the stage are very narrow and there is room for about 20 tables around the stage with a large bar on one side of the room. There is a slightly elevated area with a grand piano which serves as a small second stage. Then there is a small central area by the entrance with a few chairs. In the back, there is a large sports bar with its own bar and stage. The third stage was used on Saturday but not Thursday. Dancers do 2 songs on each stage.
