Countrymen

If the horseshoe logo isn’t a giveaway, Las Chavelas is a rustic, country-themed bar located next to Hong Kong. Much like Bar Trooical across the street, the girls at Las Chavelas can follow you to your room inside Hotel Cascadas. That night Wanabefrank and I did a quick walk around of the bar.

It’s definitely more low key compared to Hong Kong, and it seems more geared towards a local crowd. No hip hop or pop music to be heard here. I believe they were playing a Vicente Fernández concert on the big screen TVs hanging on the walls.

The number of girls was maybe a dozen or two. The girls here seem to gear more towards the average though there were attractive women sprinkled throughout. The customers looked like locals. Boot-wearing caballeros in their 40s and 50s.The lighting is a little dim, and there is a lot of wood paneling to be seen. As far as I can tell there is one floor available to customers. There are stairs leading up to a second floor, but it seemed like access was not available for customers.
