Field trip to WV

With the decline of the Baltimore clubs, I’ve been reading the reviews about neighboring areas in case I had an opportunity to stray a little further from the nest. Scheduling allowed that I had a Sunday afternoon and early evening free. In looking at the WV clubs, the reviews for Lust put it at the top of the list but as long as I was making the drive to WV, I decided to see if I could do a bit of recon and hit multiple clubs. That turned out to be a mistake.

I figured I could hit Vixens (90 min drive) and then swing back in the direction of home and hit Taboo and Lust, which would have been about a 75 min drive if I skipped Vixens. Hopped in the car and enjoyed the scenery as Waze took me off the highway, over the Potomac twice and past Charlestown. It did get a bit interesting on some of the backroads that got twisty and had no shoulder through the mountains. It even took me over a single lane bridge. I was going to have to watch my drinking if this was to be the drive home. Arrived at Vixens after exactly 90 minutes at about 415p and... it was closed. I think the club page says they open at 1p on Sundays? Fuck. Locked up and not a single car in the lot.

Cursed this club and plugged the address for Taboo into Waze. It’s about a 20 min drive from Vixens, but all highway. I guess that was good news at this point? I needed to be back home by 9p and wasting time driving to a closed club pissed me off.
