Boo Who

OK so I found myself in the Sarasota area late on Saturday night and was looking for some fun. It was about 1am so I knew I only had maybe an hour of SC time and wasn’t looking to drop a ton of cash and wasn’t planning on drinking much as I still had an hour drive home.

I had already tried Cheetahs and was not impressed so I fired up TUCL and Peek wasn’t far and didn’t have a recent review.

Peek is a stand alone building with parking in the back.

Peek is a big rectangle with a stage in the center that runs the length of the building. There is seating at the stage and there is a bench seat that lines the interior wall. There are small square cocktail tables running the length of the bench seats which are bolted to the floor. There is maybe about 2 feet of space between the tables. There is a very small bar area when you first walk in. The bar is big enough for 2 customers to sit side by side. There is no VIP area. The place is pretty well lit. The music was all hip-hop.

When I got there the parking lot was about 1/3 full. When I walked in there was a very disheveled dude who introduced himself as the manager and asked for the $5 cover. The guy reminded of A sleezy version of Borat’s sidekick.
