My good to club no more

Delilah’s used to be my go to club in Philly. I have reviewed it before (very positively) and always liked it. I won’t repeat the standard lay out and what to expect because I and others have done that before. Instead, I will describe why I won’t be going back. I went to the club on two nights in a row. The first a Wednesday night and then a Thursday night. It was a non-sport night...meaning non of the local teams were in town or in tv. There were probably 15 dancers in the club and less than 10 guys. It was early both nights...around 8pm. Now, I am someone who pays money at clubs. But, I don’t feel the need to go hustle the girls...I can go to a bar to do that. Unlike most clubs, including Delilah’s of years past, girls come up to you, ask if you want a dance, or even just slow roll it and talk over drinks. The problem with my last two visits is that no one ever came by...all night. I even tipped heavily at the stage and still no one came by. The dancers would go onstage and then run back upstairs or lounge together near the bar. At first I thought that maybe it was me. But then I saw most other guys in the club were in the same boat. After 3 hours, I left for cheerleaders, which I usually don’t like because it is seedier and the girls aren’t as hot. But, at least I got what I wanted. So, Delilah’s is out and no longer my club of choice.
