Dive bar with (sometimes) naked ladies

If you've never been here, the first trick is knowing that the entrance is off Checkerboard Rd, not Portland Rd NE even though that's the address. Second, the place is a dump. Terrible bathrooms, no beers on tap (but cheap bottles) and food even the staff won't eat.

Whether or not there's a dancer is hit and miss. I've been when there's only a bar tender and no dancers showed up. I've been when there's a dancer but she can't dance because she has to cover the bar since a bar tender didn't show up. And thankfully I've been when there's a dancer ready to chat you up and gently separate you from your money. Most of the dancers are under a 5 and would have a hard time working in a mainstream club. That's fine with me. I dig the "mom next door" type, though, so the women are generally in my wheelhouse. The stage area is fine, with plenty of room for the dancer, and you can keep an eye on the stage from the bar. The lap dance area, on the other hand, is completely out in the open in one corner of the bar, so mileage is low.

Customers are a mix of local blue collar guys and Spanish-speaking farm workers. There's not a lot of money floating around, so it's easy to be the big spender in the bar. Just leaving a tip makes you stand out, and you can make it rain by making sure the dancers are tipped when they're on stage and have a drink in hand when they're off.
