Flyover Country Franchise

The Pony is one of the lesser-known strip club chains, and compared to competitors like Deja Vu or Spearmint Rhino doesn't seem to have a strong brand identity.  In general franchise operations rarely seem to provide yhe best experience, but in much the same way you might pull into McDonalds while traveling through otherwise unfamiliar territory, when I found myself in Evansville I decided the familiar name might be less of a gamble than other local options.

The club is on a side street just off the main highway, making it easily accessible, though potentially a little tricky to spot for newcomers. The  parking is small but wasn't very full on the Tuesday night I stopped by. There's a rather sketchy looking motel next door that can probably offer overflow parking at peak hours.

Once inside the club didn't get any more impressive but it was at least well-maintained and cleaner than average.  As you enter there's a long bar where the door girl collects the cover charge, which includes two drink tickets (no booze offered on premises).
