Afternoon at Criket

The Criket (formerly the Silver Criket) has a Michigan Avenue address, but you have to go around to the back of the building to find the parking lot and the entrance. Parking is free and there is no valet. They do not charge an entry fee--at least not during the day.

The club's interior is rather old and shabby, and new tables and chairs would certainly help. But this is not going to happen. The Criket is a dive. The customers looked old and shabby too. This is not the spot for the young and affluent. The rest room was clean and there was no bathroom troll to tip.

There is a single stage in the middle of the room with two stripper poles. While I was there, there were always two dancers on stage. Lap dances are performed in the VIP area. You must pay a $10 fee and receive a wrist band from the bouncer.
