Prowling the Savannahs of Pennsylvania
This review will be a composite of several visits in the last two years. Previous reviews have fairly well established the basics: plentiful parking, ID scan, metal detector, no cell phones. Two-level stage with a very active bar at one end. Food wise, the wings here are excellent and are often half price. Several TV screens showcase the dancer schedule, which is tremendously helpful and something I wish all clubs would emulate. They have frequent special events and food/drink specials.
Stage shows are carefully timed with (I believe) an AI DJ. The songs are all the same length and are faded out at the end of the allotted time. Girls typically begin at the lower stage and move to the upper stage for a topless segment. This changes as things get busier later into the evening when a second girl dances at the same time. If you sit at the bar, you'll need to wad up your dollars and toss them awkwardly. Never liked that. There is no tip parade afterwards.
There are separate areas for regular lapdances and VIP private dances. Regular dances are song-based and I've never partaken. VIPs are $100 for 10 minutes, $150 for 20 minutes, and $200 for 30 minutes. With very few sneaky exceptions, there is no touching of breasts even in the VIP. You're largely at the mercy of the dancer. Rooms are observed very closely by camera. I've often found the lighting very weird back there. They need to invest in some softer, colorful lighting.
Over my visits, I've done many dances, but will call out a few names that stood out (for better or worse):
Aries — 9/10 — If you combined Angelina Jolie and Taylor Swift, you'd get Aries. Drop-dead gorgeous. Can look very fierce and serious, but then all of a sudden get the most adorable and warm smile on her face. Very friendly and easy to talk to. Her pole skills are some of the best I've seen: Extremely fluid and smooth, which is how you can tell it's actually very hard to do. In private dances, she's very cuddly and I felt very connected.
Jewels — 7/10 — Dances with Jewels were some of the most sensual I've ever had. She just knows how to move slow without being robotic. You just kind of melt into the moment and forget about the world for a while.
Malachite — 4/10 — Has an absolutely electric stage presence, but once you're back in the VIP, it feels like you're with a completely different person. Spent the whole time complaining about life and mumbling. Dance itself with lackluster. Would not recommend.
To conclude, I'd echo what many others have said about Savannah's — it's a great place to go and enjoy the stage with the many beautiful women who work there, but you need to have your expectations in check if you go to the VIP. It's low mileage, but those few miles CAN be very, very pleasant if you've got the right mindset.
