At a Low Ebb

I've visited Sasnak on a Friday or Saturday about twice per month over the last several months. The experience has been on the decline this summer. Few patrons seem interested in buying dances and dancers have been reacting in kind by staying away more and more. It looks like a vicious cycle and I fear for the future of the place.

Sasnak has been a favorite high-mileage dive bar for a long time and I'd hate to see it go, but the last time, at about 10:30 on a Saturday night, I arrived just as an attractive little blonde dancer unknown to me was leaving. I would have been very interested in her, but I think she sensed that her time could be better spent somewhere else. There were only three dancers left and all were unappealing to me. I had prior experience with one whom I would call an "operator". She gave good dances the first time I saw her, but on the second visit she wanted me to upgrade to the VIP room for the level of contact I had enjoyed before in the main dance area. The other two were unappealing for reasons of hygiene, appearance and/or unimaginative dances.

I hope things get better. I haven't given up yet!
