Expensive...A little clubby but not as bad as it once was.

So I came here last Tuesday for mogul Tuesdays. Me and my boy were in New York and we decided to hit up Starlets since I haven’t been in a long time. We caught an Uber there. From Penn Station area is about 25 to get there. Word to the wise. If your heart is set at going to this club...make sure you arrive early. We didn’t do that and paid the price (literally and figuratively).wegot there around 1:30 and was told that the cover charge was $60!!!! We didn’t want to Uber to another spot so we bargained them down ended up paying 40 a piece. Still way too high. We went in there and the club was not as big as the Instagram made it seem. All seats were taken. It was pretty crowded. I will say that there were beautiful women everywhere mostly latinas. A couple AA. This place has pros and cons. The cons...this is not really a lap dance place. You can get lap dances etc if your tipping, but don’t expect much privacy. Second of all it kind of feels like your being robbed at every turn. If we didn’t Uber I’m sure it would have been 50 plus for parking. The exorbitant cover charge. The drinks are overpriced. Then this kicker. I figured since I had already made it an expensive night that I might as well get some ones. You give them 100 ones they give you back 90. I’m cheap so I counted them in the bathroom after he gave them. After a brief argument they said that’s protocol. Insane...I will be bringing my own ones if I ever go there again. That’s pretty much the bad.

Now the good. They have some of the best dancers in terms of quality I’ve seen. Especially if you like latinas. Also the high rollers at this spot seem to cater to the bartenders. That’s bad for the dancers but good for us. I had my 90x ones and I had the baddest dancers coming up to me, because they literally had no choice. They give you real dances(not air dances) as long as your tipping. I definitely felt like I could get my money’s worth in there. If you are looking to have a good time, but not spend as much as me, I’m told they do free cover all night on Mondays. Pretty good in my opinion. Bring your own ones! Good luck.
