Cherry in the rough

I found myself with a rental car in the East Bay and, since I'd been meaning to venture a bit farther out to check out other club, took the opportunity to try out Gold Club Centerfolds. It's not far off the highway, but the signage is small so I nearly drove passed it. The club is tucked back in an industrial park type of area, but the parking lot is well lit, not at all sketchy. Safety wise this place is pretty comfortable.

I paid my $20 cover entrance fee and walked in to scope out the place. There's a small 'bar' directly to your right as you enter. They'll serve you all the soda, Red Bull, water, or tea that you'd like ($1 waters? I respect that. Strip clubs usually gouge you on that too.). The club can be thought of as two large areas. First, the front room. As you enter the main stage is off to your 2 o'clock, another (unused during my visit) is to your 10. Lots of low tables and chairs are scattered between and around the stages, with an aisle way leading back toward the couch dance rooms. Along the perimeter of the room are benches with signs above them designating them for $10 dances. They were only used are regular seating during my visit. Beyond the main seating area are the two couch dance areas. One entrance is through a little hallway, the other is more open to the main area but slightly divided with large, theater like curtains. The two couch dance rooms are connected by another hallway just behind the hallway leading to couch dance room #1.

The couch dance rooms are surprisingly spacious! The walls are lined with wide booths, featuring handlebars of the two walls for that key stripper stability. I didn't stop to take a count of the stations, but in the one room I visited there had to be at least 20, maybe more. The other room appeared to be of at least equal size, so it seems unlikely that you'd have to wait for a seat to open up. Lighting was dim but definitely bright enough to see what you're paying to see.
