Where in the Hell is McCook ???

One of the best kept hideouts near Lyons, IL is a small town of McCook. Nestled in a place surrounded by manufacturing, Industry, truck yards and highway overpasses is a dive bar, called All Star Bar & Grill. Yes, there is a Bar and where we used to enjoy a great burger and brew on Saturday afternoons while watching sports on several TVs, they no longer have the short-order cook nor menu. (Damn Shame.) You know your life matters little if you miss the food from a bar.

You can get $4 domestics and $5 imports, reasonably-priced mixed drinks or a shot of Patron, 1800 or even Remy Martin 1738. Don't bring your ass in here asking for Daquiris, Margaraitas, or Pina Coladas. THIS is a Man Cave Bar and the wood paneling, neon-lighted beer signs, and urine scented bathrooms may be your sensory clues. The bartenders and waitresses are not 25 year-old hotties who expect to deflect your flirtations. In here, you will get the corner bar feel with the waitstaff. Seasoned, knowledgeable and ready to trounce your ass out the door for disrespecting the dancers, bartenders or waitstaff with the help of very visible security on the door who are watching the parking lot, entry door, and every nook and cranny of this bar. It IS cop-friendly.
