Early but not impressed

I stopped in to Hoops early on a Thursday - I got there around 4:45. The place was dead. There was one girl dancing on the pole and a couple of others sitting around. I sat at the bar and ordered a beer. Normally, even at a quiet time I would expect one of the girls to come chat me up but nothing. So, I watched the many TVs for a while figuring that maybe things would start up at 5:00. Eventually the girl dancing stopped and came over. She was not my type at all but I chatted with her for a while. She was nice but it wasn't doing anything for me. 5:00 came and the other girls showed no signs of starting to work. I asked the bartender whether it gets any busier and she said it did and it was unusually quiet. Since I didn't see any real possibility of fun, I finished my beer and left. I may try again but only much later in the evening.
