A pretty good visit
I hadn't been to Cheetah Pompano in quite some time, I think my last visit was maybe a year or so ago when V-Rod was there. Today, it was the 2nd stop in what would be a tour of about 5 area clubs, fitting right in between Booby Trap and Solid Gold. Anyway, things were physically the same. 2 bucks to park, only 1extra buck to park in the reserved section up close. A small section is coned off for VIP parking, overall there is plenty of parking and its not an issue at all. There's a covered drive way you can stop in and Valet at night for a few more bucks too. Inside they still always have a cute and friendly girl to greet you during the day and collect the $5 (Sun-Wed) or $10 (Thur-Sat) cover after 7pm. I was there around 3 so other than a quick hello I didn't talk to her.
You can check my previous review for more details on the layout of the club. Just the highlights for now: 4 stages, 1 behind the main bar, 1 larger main stage with two poles and pervert row seating, and two smaller satellite stages. All are easily approachable for tipping except the one behind the bar. Action at the stage is typical for the area, with the side stages tending to be a little more interactive. I will note they had much less of the reserved seating than they have in the past. Still a few tables reserved for regulars and a few for bottle service, but not half the place like I'd seen and been annoyed by in the past. Waitresses were effective, bringing drinks quickly and checking in regularly without being pushy. I think domestics were like $5 and cocktails like $8, with imports and premiums being a bit higher. There are a few manager/floor hosts walking about, but they didn't really call attention to themselves. Another area that I noticed had change was the stage lighting. They used to have big rigging with lights that looked like an old 80's hair band concert. They've replaced it with more modern LED lighting. Not normally something I'd mention, but the old lighting really stood out and it being gone was something I noticed. The place is lit appropriately, dim enough to feel like a bar but not so dark you stumble into shit or can't see the girls. The DJ was pretty unobtrusive too. Music was at a normal level, songs played consistently around 3-3:15, he announced the girls and maybe some specials/promo type stuff, but didn't ramble on with his own agenda or try to be a house DJ laying his own tracks.
The girls here had consistently been the best looking dayshift in the area for years, till it rapidly plummeted a couple years back. Its been inconsistent since. Today, there were maybe 15 or so dancers. None were knockouts, but none were ugly either. All probably 6-8ish. There was one I wanted a dance from, she was doing a table dance for the guy in front of me when I sat down. Young, slim, cute, natural, seemingly American. I wasn't paying much attention, but I noticed her sitting and chatting and she seemed friendly and flirty. Another was actually dancing for someone else a table or two away, same general description except Cuban. I didn't "want" a dance from her, but I figured she'd do to entertain me until the one I wanted was available. At least that was my plan as I ordered my beer. Sure enough, the one I wanted had a line and she moved on without even a glance my way. So I got a couple table dances from the Cuban. They weren't bad, none of the repressive almost air dance shit I had experienced a couple times, but not a total lap dance either. Decent dances that I'm sure dancers/customers/management can all be happy with. She didn't speak much english, so it was a real quick chat and then a few dances at $10 a pop and she was on her way with a modest tip. I stopped when I noticed the girl I had my eye on was going on one of the smaller stages. I tipped her a couple bucks twice during her 3 song set, the place still runs like clockwork with the first song in a bikini the second topless and the third nude. I wasn't the only one tipping her, and it appears as though I was outbid. As was the guy she was sitting with prior to going on stage. As she made it only about 1ft away from the stage before stopping with a tipper. I figured I'd try a $25 lap dance after a few table dances with her, just to be a diligent PL and know what the offerings were here. I actually also considered asking about rooms, as the DJ was promoting them and I was curious. Alas, it wasn't meant to be as I ran out of entertainment and got bored. I took off and decided to give Solid Gold a try.
