Nice Atmosphere but club has gone down

As soon as you enter penthouse, you feel as if you are in a really nice spot. It is a big place tucked away in north philly. The people at the door are nice and welcoming. There are free matches with "penthouse" on them. Inside, the DJ plays a variety of music. The music is not too loud to have a conversation with a girl. It is a huge place with 2 floors. There are motorcycles attached to the ceiling. There is a bar upstairs along with the VIP and dance rooms. However this bar is usually only open on weekends. There is a bar downstairs along with plenty of tables and stage seating. It is a very roomy area.

There is always a variety of girls of different ethnicities. However on this particular night, there were about 10 girls just sitting around the bar and no customers around. This was a bit surprising for a friday night. Some of the girls are great dancers, some are novices. The girls I spoke to were very friendly. Dances are $30 for one song. The management used to have special nights each week with different events like dress up and newbie night. It seems like they have new management and removed these events. The club would benefit from having these events back.

Overall the prices and value are reasonable for philly. The dance room is pretty nice, not a seedy place with dirty couches like other places. Everything is clean here and there is even a pole in the dance room too. I would come back on a night with more of a crowd and more enthusiasm from the girls such as a friday or saturday night.
