Two Good Afternoons

I get to Atlanta a few times a year and always find time for a trip or two (or three) to Follies. I was there on two recent afternoons, Wednesday, June 20 and Friday, June 22. The visits were somewhat different, and since Follies has been reviewed plenty on TUSCL, I'll just hit the highlights and note some observations that either confirm or differ from recent comments others have made here. The TLDR of this is that I had an entertaining and satisfying visit each day.

Both days I arrived early enough to beat the valet and get a parking spot in the shade. Wednesday I got there about 11:45 a.m. (I think they opened at 11:30); Friday, they opened at 11:00 a.m. and I was there at 11:05. No cover. Entered through the metal detector, had to show ID, and got a brief pat-down.

Early on, songs were classic rock (some very long) and played at a volume that allowed for easy conversation. During the afternoon, the volume increased and the playlist became more diverse. In general, all the songs I heard were a very decent length and played to completion.
