Fun, inexpensive, low-mileage club in Grand Rapids

I visit Grand Rapids about every other year and try to hit the two remaining "strip clubs" (actually bikini bars) in town: Sensations and Parkway Tropics. When I started coming here four years ago, Godiva's and Teeny Bikinis were both still in existence, but they disappeared before I had a chance to check them out.

Parkway Tropics is located, somewhat weirdly, on a street of mostly residences and some businesses (corner groceries, coffee shops, restaurants) a short distance west of downtown Grand Rapids on Lake Michigan Drive NW. There is ample free parking in a lot across the street. It's been a couple of weeks, but I believe cover at 10:30 or so on a Friday night was $5 and a domestic beer cost $4.

I took a seat right by the stage and enjoyed watching all dozen or so dancers strut their stuff, always two at a time: one on the stage itself and the other on a runway extending into the audience and separated from onlookers by metal bars. Given the restrictive local ordinances on public nudity, the girls here do the best they can, offering nice grindy little dollar dances to spectators sitting stageside (hence my choice of seating!).
