Still Al's; Still Great
Went on a Friday night from 8 to 12. Dancers were pretty good looking, nice, and not pushy for couch dances. A few were drunk, but fun drunk, not eyes rolling in the back of their head blackout drunk. It was mostly white and hispanic dancers, with two black dancers. Most of the girls weren't covered in tattoos, which is rare these days. The layout was different from the last time I was there. Counter is as soon as you walk in Friday night was a $20 cover. Straight ahead is the bar, the stage is in the middle with seating up front, and more on a second deck. There was a small table with pretzels, chips, and cookies. Drinks were reasonably priced for a strip club, $5 for beers $8-10 for mixed drinks the night we went, and we never waited more than a couple of minutes at the bar. Couch dances were good, girls went over the no touching rules, and the bouncer wasn't staring daggers at us, very private. In total I got 3 lap dances from two different dancers totaling $60 plus $20 in tips. Only downside was the "payday" blue collar crowd that was just finishing up spending their entire paychecks by the time my group of 6 got there. By 8pm I assume they were about 3-4 hours into their new found weekend freedom, and it was a little uncomfortable until they left an hour later. One of them called my buddy "city boy" to his face, (even though we all live in the suburbs) Will come back later in the year. Coming from the Bux/Mont area, I would much rather drive 45 minutes here, than the clubs in Philly. The parking is a little tight, so get there before 10pm on weekends.
