Been a long time
It has been many, many years since I visited Pink Pony. It always seems to fall between Follies and Cheetah on the action to looks spectrum. This visit was really a spur of the moment decision from my partners in crime for the evening. We were going to go bowling, laser tag or some other activity after dinner but wound up at the club. We arrived around 7:30 and parked towards the outside edge of the lot to make it easier to get out later. The security officer at the door asked for our ID's and $3 "parking fee". Once inside the door they again asked for IDs and then 10 each for cover charge.
Once inside I noted that the club looked exactly the same from previous years with the exception of the wall that used to have the VIP area. It is still the VIP area but they did something to the exterior, maybe some glass cubes or something. We grabbed a seat along the bench area just outside the VIP area and could see all the stages well from that position. The crowd was mostly middle age white guys early and then the crowd turned younger as the evening progressed. Many were groups of guys. There were at least 6 other couples there. By the time we left the crowd was decent but not packed and not much diversity.
The girls were mostly 7-9s, slightly older than what I expected, probably averaging 24-28 yrs old. The majority of girls were white and there were a few mixed girls, a very toned Asian girl and a couple of black girls. It was interesting to see my two female companions tip the several dancers on stage and then see if they would come around to speak. Of 5 girls tipped only one dancer came to say thank you. Too bad because my friends wanted to get some dances. Once the one dancer broke the ice, several other dancer came to chat with my friends. I never appreciated the comments from couples that complained that dancers were reluctant to approach them.
